Volunteers play an important role in enhancing and enriching life at Homestead Village.
Community volunteers give their time to support the activities programs in the Apostle Center for Care and Westvue Personal Care Home. One-on-one time with a friendly visitor, an wheelchair escort through the grounds on a pleasant day, an assist with a Bingo game or reading the newspapers – all these things add up to make the life of a health care resident richer and more comfortable.
Residents themselves staff numerous committees through the Residents’ Council, working together to run the resident library, operate the Village store, support the activities program, and participate in other on-going programs that enhance life for all residents.
Volunteers receive orientation and training specific to their assignments, continuing education where applicable, and are acknowledged at an annual recognition event.
Volunteers are valued and welcomed at Homestead Village. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, complete and submit the form below.
