From The President: Culture Change is a Renewed Focus and Journey

Homestead Village has embarked on a wonderful improvement of our nursing care. The expansion of the Apostles Center for Care includes the addition of Young House with added kitchen, dining and living space, additional private rooms in Radcliffe House and additional outdoor living space for all the houses. When completed, the new Apostles Center will feature three separate houses: Fickes House serving 22 residents; Radcliffe House serving 21 and Young House serving 15. The four private room addition to Radcliffe House and the living room, dining room and kitchen addition to Young House are both taking shape and will soon be fully enclosed. Occupancy is scheduled for mid-spring 2016.

Our culture change journey is more than just adding rooms and space – the heart of our journey is changing stereotypes and approaches. That journey has been renewed with a number of task forces that have been inspired by the book, Being Mortal, by Dr. Atul Gawande.
