Designed to Help You Thrive—Today and for Years to Come

Homestead Village has completed a $6 million transformation of our campus center—reimagining the heart of our Lancaster County senior living community to support connection, wellness, independence, and everyday joy.

Through intentional modernization, these shared spaces strengthen our Thrive Where You Are philosophy—helping residents remain engaged, supported, and confident wherever they are on their life journey.

Mack’s Coffee & Cream: A Daily Gathering Place

Designed with a welcoming, local café atmosphere, Mack’s Coffee & Cream is more than a coffee shop—it’s a natural hub for connection. Located just inside the campus center main entrance, it reflects the friendly, comfortable spirit of Homestead Village and encourages spontaneous moments with friends, neighbors, and visiting family.

Residents enjoy locally sourced coffee and fresh food offerings—from breakfast sandwiches and pastries to hand‑dipped gelato—whether grabbing something to go or lingering with a newspaper. Mack’s supports an active, social lifestyle by making it easy to connect every day.

Bloom Salon & Spa: Wellness, Confidence, and Care

Bloom Salon & Spa offers residents convenient, on‑campus hair and nail services in a warm, inviting setting designed for comfort and relaxation. With dedicated hair, manicure, and pedicure spaces, Bloom supports personal wellness, confidence, and self‑care—without the need to travel off campus.

Community Spaces & Event Venues: Extensions of Home

At Homestead Village, shared spaces are designed as natural extensions of residents’ apartments, cottages, and villas—making it easy to gather, celebrate, and stay engaged.

Lounges & Activity Rooms

Comfortable lounges and activity rooms are easily reserved for card clubs, church groups, committee meetings, and other gatherings. Catering through Dining Services makes entertaining simple and enjoyable.

Event & Celebration Spaces

The Bachman Center at Homestead Village is available for residents’ larger events such as reunions, special‑occasion luncheons or dinners, and even weddings. The Stauffer Spring House features both a spacious dining area and a smaller gathering room—ideal for book clubs, classes, and social activities.

Outdoor Living

Outdoor pavilions provide welcoming settings for picnics and seasonal gatherings, offering residents a variety of flexible spaces throughout the campus to meet their needs.

Corner Gift Shoppe

Located in the Village Center, the Corner Gift Shoppe offers a curated selection of charming gifts, including jewelry, candy, stuffed animals, and greeting cards for every occasion. Operated as an ongoing volunteer project of the Homestead Village Auxiliary, the shop also supports programs that enhance residents’ lives—reflecting the generosity and spirit of our community.

Transportation Services

Homestead Village provides complimentary transportation to residents’ medical appointments within a five‑mile radius—delivering more than 350 rides each month.  Complimentary transportation to the pharmacy and bank is also available if needed.  Additional transportation is offered through our Life Enrichment program for shopping and group outings.  For residents who need individual companion transportation, our on‑campus Home Care team is available for a small fee—offering flexibility, safety, and peace of mind.

The THRIVE Team: Proactive Support for Independent Living

The THRIVE Team is a dedicated, interdisciplinary support group created to help residents thrive where they are—especially during times of transition, health changes, or uncertainty.  This team works closely with residents to ensure they are aware of available services and feel supported, empowered, and never alone. Many residents have benefited from THRIVE’s outreach—especially those who were unsure how to ask for help or hesitant to do so.

The Team can:

  • Appropriately plan coordination of care for an upcoming surgery or after a health challenge.
  • Communicate to Apostles Center for Nursing Care for possible rehab stay needs.
  • Educate about other services that can help such as homecare, home health, PT/OT.
  • Help facilitate communication between the resident and their healthcare providers.
  • Assist families during times of resident transitions.
  • Provide reassurance and peace of mind for residents and families
