Wellness Designed Around You: Stay Active, Engaged, and Thriving
At Homestead Village, wellness isn’t confined to a fitness center; it’s woven into the rhythm of daily life.
We believe that true well-being comes from more than exercise alone. It’s about having the freedom, access, and support to move your body, stay connected, enjoy healthy meals, have fellowship of friends, and make choices each day that help you feel your best. Through thoughtful design, expert guidance, and a wide range of opportunities, our approach to wellness empowers you to continue to THRIVE WHERE YOU ARE®.
Spaces That Make Staying Active Feel Natural
Our wellness environments are designed to meet you where you are; whether you’re maintaining an active lifestyle, building strength, or simply looking for new ways to move with confidence.
Across our Lancaster, Pennsylvania retirement community campus, you’ll find two well-equipped fitness centers, including our primary gym located in our Village Center, and a secondary location in the Stauffer Spring House in the Farmstead neighborhood. Each space is intentionally designed to support the needs of older adults, with equipment and programming that prioritize safety, flexibility, and functional movement.
Features include:
- Indoor 26’ x 52’ therapy pool
- An indoor walking track for year-round activity
- A full range of cardiovascular and strength training equipment
- Whirlpool and locker facilities for comfort and recovery
More importantly, these spaces are supported by knowledgeable staff who take the time to understand your goals and help you build a personalized approach to wellness. Personal training services are provided by our campus partner, PowerBack.

Wellness Beyond the Fitness Center
At Homestead Village, the environment itself encourages movement and well-being in ways that feel natural.
Set across 90 scenic acres in the heart of Lancaster County, our walkable campus offers tree-lined paths, sidewalks, and inviting outdoor spaces that make it easy to incorporate activity into your day. Whether it’s a morning walk, a bike ride, or simply enjoying time outdoors with neighbors, movement becomes part of everyday life.
Our location also connects you to nearby spaces like Rader Park, the Seeds of Hope Garden, and Noel Dorwart Park, extending opportunities for recreation, reflection, and connection just beyond your doorstep.
Additional wellness programming such as our brain health initiative gives residents the opportunity to learn about how diet and exercise can promote cognitive health.
A Thoughtful Approach to Wellness and Peace of Mind
Wellness also means feeling confident and supported in your surroundings.
At Homestead Village, our approach is designed to give you peace of mind without taking away independence. From accessible design and supportive programming to a continuum of care available if your needs change, everything is thoughtfully integrated to help you stay active and engaged with confidence.
It’s a quieter kind of support, one that allows you to focus less on “what if” and more on what you want to do today.
Explore What’s Possible
Here, wellness is not a one-size-fits-all program. It’s a lifestyle shaped by your choices, supported by your community, and made easier by your environment.
