Homestead Village is a better place because of the number of residents who are involved in the leadership of the organization. Starting at the top, Homestead Village has four residents holding positions on the board of directors. There are also numerous committees and groups that support and guide the community. Monthly meetings such as “Coffee with the President” are also held as a sounding board for residents to provide input into the operations of the community.
Another important group is the Resident’s Council. The Residents’ Council was formed to work with the Administration to develop and sustain programs, policies, and services that best meet the needs and enhance the experiences of Homestead Village residents. Resident input is important in helping the Council to address this charge.
If any resident has questions or comments regarding policies and procedures at HV, they can be directed to contact one of their Residents’ Council Representatives. There are five representatives for each of the four neighborhood groupings; Apartments, Cottages & Villas, Mews, and Farmstead. Contact information for members can be found on the ‘Resident Council’ tab within Homestead Village’s community communications app called UniGuest.
For the 2025.2026 Fiscal Year, the Resident Council Officers are John Campbell, President (Mews), Susan Doyle, Vice President (Villa Court); Gretchen Thomas, Co-Secretary (Farmstead); and Kathleen Flynn, Co-Secretary (Mews).
