For the past year, Homestead Village has been working on the silent phase of a $6 million capital campaign to raise funds for campus enhancements that have, and will, benefit not just Homestead Village residents, but also the greater community.  During a festive event on Sunday, November 9, 2025, we will proudly launch the public phase of the campaign with exciting presentation outlining matching opportunities and goals.

Dear friend of Homestead Village,

Homestead Village’s mission is to create a compassionate community while enhancing the independence and dignity of each person we serve. For nearly forty years, this has been our passion. We have been blessed with sustained growth, more than quadrupling in size from opening the first apartments, cottages, and nursing care center. Through the years, we have refined our vision to help the persons we serve “thrive where you are.” We’ve added neighborhoods and reimagined all the services we offer—from more homelike nursing care to intimate memory support houses to personal care available in apartments and homecare provided throughout the community. Townstead will add 73 more apartments, but more importantly, it will add a true community center filled with life enrichment, delicious food, and wellness options. Townstead offers a revolutionary opportunity for growth and change.

Our growth required larger dining areas and places to gather. Residents have also asked for an enhanced space for cultural enrichment and a better fitness center. We have eyed such upgrades for years but have been careful about the timing in order to maintain the financial strength of our organization.

Townstead puts an end to the wait. We have completely redesigned the dining area and added Mack’s Coffee & Cream, which has become a place not only to nourish our residents, visitors, and staff but also to gather and enjoy fellowship. Being able to experience this space before the full project’s completion has been a treat for everyone. New amenities, including Bloom Salon, the expanded Corner Gift Shoppe, and the upgraded Village Center Lobby, will enhance residents’ ability to thrive where they are, helping Homestead Village stay competitive with other nearby retirement communities.

While construction of the Townstead Apartments will be financed over time by its residents’ fees,
creating and renovating common spaces will require an investment by the entire community. We want to
minimize impact on resident fees to fund this work. Instead, we ask those who are able to invest in
changes that will benefit everyone at Homestead. What better way to ring in our upcoming 40th
anniversary!

The philanthropic generosity of previous generations created the beautiful community we enjoy today.
Now it is our turn to pay it forward. Please join us to transform our campus and enrich our residents’
lives through the Thriving. Together! Campaign.
In community,

Doug Motter, President
MaryBeth Tearpock, Chair, Board of Directors
